RF Testing Solutions

Vitesse Systems has a full suite of RF testing capabilities, enabling in-house performance verification. We make many fixtures and test components in-house as well, further reducing delivery times.

Our testing facilities can also be contracted for units built elsewhere.

Passive Intermodulation (PIM)

PIM chamber specifications:

  • 14′ x 14′ x 14′
  • Ka, Ku, X, C, S, L band coverage
  • 200W per carrier
  • -130 to +140 °C

Vitesse Systems’ experienced personnel have performed more than 200 thermal PIM tests. Our typical noise floor is -160 dBm for 3rd order PIM using 200W carriers.

Near Field Range

Vitesse Systems’ NSI-MI 8′ x 8′ Planar Near Field Range is able to maintain a planarity of 0.001” across the full scan range, allowing for highly accurate pattern measurements. Our standard frequency range is 1-110 GHz, but higher frequencies can usually be accommodated.

Far Field Range

Far Field range specifications:

  • 30′ x 14′ x 14′
  • 1-40 GHz

We have consistently measured challenging linear and circularly polarized pattern parameters including low cross polarization and low axial ratio.

RF Bench Testing

Vitesse Systems routinely handles RF bench testing from 1-110 GHz, with the capability to test up to 220 GHz.

From insertion loss and isolation to balanced amplitude and phase parameters of OMTs, Polarizers, and BFNs, we have the experience required to provide precise results for a variety of parameters.
